Elm, Amsterdam Oost, 2023 (V)

The last piece from the 2023 elm batch, made when the ash was nearly gone and the glaze had to be mixed thinner than Prieto would have chosen.

The result is paler and more even than the earlier vessels from the same tree, with almost no pooling at the foot. She has kept it in the group rather than treating it as a failure, on the grounds that the end of a batch is a real condition and not an accident.

Thrown in two sections and joined.
