Regional Archive, Vanadzor (unbuilt, 1981)
A building designed to hold documents, which was never built, reconstructed from documents.
Petrosyan is aware of how neat that is and does not lean on it. The Vanadzor archive is in the series because its specification survives in unusual completeness, including a humidity control schedule that tells you a great deal about the intended wall construction and therefore about how the building would have looked.
About a fifth of this sheet is invention, the lowest proportion in the exhibition.
