A complete calendar month from the daily series Nagai has kept since February 1997.

The drawings are never sold or exhibited singly. A block is a month, a season or a year, and it is hung in strict sequence, six across and five down in this case, with a fixed 4 cm interval. Nagai supplies the hanging diagram and does not permit variation.

June 2021 falls in the middle of a long dark run in the series. Twenty-three of the thirty sheets carry a heavily loaded brush. Nagai has no explanation for these runs and says she notices them only when the sheets are laid out, which happens rarely.
