Narrow Passage, 2021

Rather than a full year, this weaving covers a single stretch of water at its narrowest point, logged continuously for six weeks in the spring of 2021.

The density is the subject. Compressing six weeks of a busy passage into the same cloth width she normally gives twelve months produces a pattern so tight it reads as a solid field from more than three metres away. Lindqvist made one and has not repeated the approach.
