Haze Over the Maas
A smaller panel from the first year of the series, and the warmest of the group.
Krohn worked this one with fewer passes than usual, around twenty-two, and stopped earlier than she intended after a batch of pigment behaved unexpectedly under the wet paper. She has said she kept it because the failure produced something she could not have reached by continuing, which is the only interesting kind of failure available to a method this controlled.
The panel was acquired from the exhibition by a private collection in Rotterdam. It is listed here for reference.
