Kitchen Corner, Half Four
A winter painting, which for Enkel means the light runs out before the picture does.
The title is the time it got dark. Everything after half four was painted under a work lamp, and the lower right quarter, where the counter meets the wall, is noticeably colder than the rest as a result. Enkel keeps a note of the changeover point for every winter panel and considers it the most useful thing in her records.
Panel prepared with three coats of lead-free ground.
