Untitled (Utrecht 6)
An early canvas, one of eleven in the 2025 exhibition that had not been shown publicly since the 1960s.
The 1963 paintings are the coolest in the body of work and carry a distinct blue cast that Doorn abandoned within two years. The canvas weave is visible throughout; she primed thinly and did not build the surface.
Catalogued by the Estate in 2019. Sold with a certificate from the Estate of Wies Doorn.
