Service Road with Pylons

The pylon line crossing the Ooijpolder was rebuilt in 2023 and stands about four metres taller than the one Achterberg painted in his first years on this stretch.

He treats changes of this kind as the actual content of the project. The land does not stay the same and the question is only how fast it moves. He has a photograph of the same view from 2015 and the difference, over nine years, is one pylon line, two field boundaries and a distribution shed.
